ABDonwnloadManager is an open-source multi-threaded download tool that can increase download speeds by up to 500%. It is comparable in all aspects to the well-known download tool IDM , and the UI page and operation methods are also extremely similar.

I used it to download some content, and it maxed out my gigabit broadband!!! Currently available for Windows and Linux

The software supports a portable version without installation. Just double-click the executable file to use it directly.

Summary: I’ve used it for a while, and its basic capabilities are not inferior to IDM. Although it’s not as feature-rich as IDM, if your only need is to take over browser downloads, it’s more than enough. The key point is that this tool is open-source and free.
