Utao TV (Utao) is a large-screen app for smart TVs and projectorsopen-source TV browser, which allows you towatch live TV broadcasts from CCTV and major satellite channels for freeand solvethe screen-casting issues of mainstream video sites on TV.

You can simply think of Utao TV asa third-party browser designed specifically for large-screen devices like TVs and projectors, allowing you to directly open the CCTV live broadcast website, iQiyi, and Tencent Video web versions in this browser. Through special optimization, it automatically plays live streams and movies/TV shows from these platforms in fullscreen.

TV Live

TV Live supports watching official live broadcasts from CCTV and various satellite TV stations.

The live source is essentially using Utao TV to open CCTV’s live TV on CNTV, then it automatically plays in fullscreen and is compatible with TV remote control operations.

Therefore, we don’t need to worry about the live source becoming invalid; it’s very stable.

On the TV Live page, pressing the back button on the remote can also set TV Live to open automatically on startup, so when we open Utao TV, it will directly play TV Live. This is especially suitable for use by elderly family members.

Mainstream Domestic Streaming Platforms

It supports mainstream domestic streaming platforms like iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, and Bilibili. Previously, to watch HD videos from these sites on TV, we had to subscribe to the more expensive TV version membership.

Utao TV actually opens the web version of Tencent Video and iQiyi. We only need a regular membership to watch HD content on TV. Just scan a QR code to log in with your regular membership account, no screen casting needed.
