Currently, there are two mainstream versions of qBittorrent: the official version and qBittorrent-Enhanced-Edition (qBittorrent Enhanced Edition).

The Enhanced Edition is a fork of the official version and is also an open-source project. It features blocking leeching downloaders like Xunlei, peer whitelist/blacklist, automatic tracker list updates, etc. It is recommended to use the Enhanced Edition.

qBittorrent Basic Usage Tutorial

1. After installing the qBittorrent Enhanced Edition, open the settings page, go to BitTorrent options, check ‘Automatically update trackers’ at the bottom, click ‘Refetch’, and save.

Regarding upload speed, I usually limit it a bit; some ISPs may throttle you if you upload too much for too long. This is up to you. P2P is about sharing. You can also set a seeding limit, e.g., stop seeding when the ratio reaches 1, to at least not be a leech.

1. Automatically block Xunlei, QQ, Baidu, Xfplay, DLBT, and offline downloaders
2. Automatically block unknown peers from China (default: off)
3. Automatically update public tracker list (default: off)
