Final2x v2.1.0

Final2x is an open-source lossless image upscaling tool with multiple built-in models, easily improving image resolution and quality, making them clearer and more detailed. Supports Windows, Mac, and Linux.

The tool’s interface is very simple: upload an image, then click start! (When you use a model for the first time, it will download first; models are typically 1-2 GB. Since there’s no notification, many think it’s stuck, but you can see the download progress in the logs.)

You can choose a model on the settings page; there are dozens of models. Unfortunately, there’s no description for each model, so you’ll need to research them yourself.

For example, the model:Real-ESRGAN , which is a blind image super-resolution model released by Tencent ARC Lab.

Real-ESRGAN currently offers five models: realesrgan-x4plus (default), reaesrnet-x4plus, realesrgan-x4plus-anime (optimized for anime illustrations, smaller size), realesr-animevideov3 (for anime videos), and realesrgan-x4plus-anime-6B. You can choose the appropriate model based on the image or video you want to process.

The image below was processed using the RealESRGAN_realesr_animevideov3_4x model, and the effect is truly excellent.

Usage

I recommend downloading the portable (no installation required) version: Final2x-windows-x64-unpacked.7z

After downloading, extract the archive, then double-click Final2x.exe to run.
